Great attention was paid to mastering the manufacture of spare parts, repair of pump and power equipment, high-voltage transformers and electric motors with a capacity of more than 100 kW.

Until recently, all pump products were imported from outside Uzbekistan. The factory management set itself the task, in parallel with the production of mobile pumping stations SNP 500/10, A 50GO with the production repair of borehole pumps, to master in the near future the production of new borehole pumps of its own manufacture. Thus, starting from 1984, the factory began to implement measures to prepare the necessary documentation, manufacture technological equipment and devices, and purchase special equipment for the development of borehole pumps.

And in 1987, the production of the first electric centrifugal borehole pump unit ECV10-160-35 was mastered. Starting from 1990, and especially after the Republic of Uzbekistan gained independence, the factory developed the "Mustaqillik" program - the main task of this program is the organization of industrial production of pump and power equipment with maximum use of local raw materials, taking into account the development in serial production of especially important nomenclature, ensuring a reduction in Uzbekistan's dependence on external supplies of pump and power equipment and spare parts.

With the most effective participation of factory workers in 1991, a targeted program was launched to develop new types of pump products called the "Pump" Program. According to this program, for the period up to 1995, the factory team was faced with the huge task of mastering a whole range of pumping equipment that had not been previously produced on the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in particular, a whole range of borehole electric pump units, such as ECV 10-160-35MK (mastered in 1990 to replace the previously manufactured ECV 10-160-35G), ECV12-255-30G, ECV10-120-80, ECV8-16-160 electric pump units of "D" and "K" types.

To solve this very important national economic task, a special design bureau was created at the factory, whose tasks include the development and creation of new promising, competitive types of pump and power equipment with the possibility of reducing the time for mastering in serial production, provided that the existing machine park is used and technologies are applied that ensure the production of pumps in terms of their quality and characteristics corresponding to standards, certification, and product quality. To achieve these requirements, an accredited laboratory for testing hydraulic machines was built and put into operation at the factory, which allows testing all types of electric pump units produced at the factory, which makes it possible to continue work on improving the quality of manufactured products and engage in research work when creating new pump models.

After appropriate preparation, the factory began production of electric centrifugal borehole pump units of the "ECV" type - ECV12-255-30 (1991), ECV10-120-80 (1992), ECV8-16-160 (1993), ECV10-120-55 (1994).
